an experimental study on combustion characteristics of coal,tobacco stem and their mixture was operated by STA 409 PC,and TG curves were analyzed and calculated by themogravimetric method.The results showed tobacco stem had typical combustion characteristic of biomass,coal and tobacco stem had basically maintained their own combustion characteristic during combustion of the mixture,and tar of tobacco stem had effect to coke.With the decrease of tobacco ratio,the peak temperature had no obvious variations and the max combustion rate was decreased in the temperature range of volatile evolution,but the max combustion rate was decreased and the peak temperature was increased in the temperature range of char combustion.Mixtures combustibility were approached tobacco stem while tobacco stem was high than coal in the ratio of their mixture,otherwise approached coal.
