Zeolite membranes with higher Si/AI ratios are expected to have the property of water proof in dehydration under water-rich feed conditions. The application of NaA type zeolite membranes is limited to water-poor feed conditions in dehydration because the NaA membranes could be deteriorated in water-rich feed conditions [1]. The NaA zeolite with the lower Si/AI ratio exhibited the feature of dissolution into water-rich feed liquid. In these backgrounds, the high-silica CHA-type zeolite membrane was developed for industrial purpose to apply in dehydration under water-rich feed conditions [2].
