The bleaching efficiency of scoured cotton fabric using a combining laccase-mediated system pretreatment with low-temperature (70°C) hydrogen peroxide bleaching was evaluated in this study,response surface methodology was used to optimize pretreatment conditions in order to achieve the best response value (whiteness index).The results indicated that optimized conditions for LMS pretreatment was obtained when temperature,pH and concentration of DeniliteⅡ S/HBT were set at 58.41°C,5.07 and 2.57% (owf),respectively,giving a WI value of 78.74.This whiteness value is higher than that obtained by conventional hydrogen peroxide bleaching,which means this new process can meet the requirements of eco process and will be the developing trend.
