摘要

The feeding system has great effect on the strip casting process. In order to evaluate the new type feeding system, a same scale water model of a twinroll strip caster has been set up based on the Froude number and Reynolds number similarity criteria. Fluctuation in the molten pool of twin-roll strip casting process was studied by hydraulics simulation. Meanwhile, applied continuous equation、 N-S equation and k-ε equation, the flow style in molten pool was studied. Difference of flow field and surface fluctuation have been analyzed about two type of feeding system. The results shows that the new type feeding system has great effect on lower the wave fluctuation and improve the flow style in the pool. Moreover, the CFD method combine with physical model can judge the feeding system used in strip casting.
