Foreign Direct Investment is the main driving force for the development of China's manufacturing industry, and total factor productivity is an important tool for analyzing economic growth. Therefore, studying the impact of FDI on China's manufacturing industry's total factor productivity plays a key role in China's economic development. However, existing research is rarely based on the concept of green development. Therefore, this paper selects the manufacturing panel data of 28 provinces in China from 2007 to 2018 as a sample to construct a regression model to study the impact of manufacturing FDI on manufacturing green total factor productivity. The results show that China’s manufacturing FDI is not conducive to the improvement of China’s manufacturing green total factor productivity. For every 10,000 RMB increase in manufacturing FDI, the manufacturing green total factor productivity drops by 0.0350 units.
