Research on Public Service Facility Arrangement and Function Distribution in Shopping Malls Case study on Ario-kameari, Aeonmall-hinode and LaLaport-tachikawa tachihi

摘要

This study focuses on the public service facility (toilet, baby room, smoking room, etc.) zone arrangement in the shoppingmalls, and analyzes the function distribution combined with the flow line through the survey in Ario-kameari, Aeonmall-hinode andLaLaport-tachikawa tachihi, three types of shopping malls. As results of the observation and quantitative analysis on the equipments ofthe service facilities, we clarified the typology of public service facility zone, and pointed out the function distribution with theconsideration of various users. Based on the above, this study is expected to put forward public service facility design strategy for thepurpose of facilitating the customer groups, reflecting the business-to-customer care and conveying the design philosophy ofcommercial buildings.
