Hyperspectral chemical imaging (HCI) refers to the acquisition of both spatial and spectral information in a singleacquisition time frame. HCI is a parallel scheme that allows the collection of spatially-resolved chemical/compositionaldata at much higher rate compared to traditional chemical imaging which is serial in nature. Recent advances in spatiallight modulators (SLM) have enabled many novel HCI imaging schemes. We have implemented several HCI systemsusing reflective and diffractive SLMs. Their design and performance characterization will be discussed in this talk.
