摘要

With the high-penetration of wind power in the power grid, wind power curtailment needs to be reduced urgently. In addition, the impact on the environment by carbon emission cannot be underestimated. In this paper, a two-stage optimization model is proposed to deal with the stochastic features of the renewable energy as well as the carbon emission from the thermal power units. Otherwise, battery ageing model is linearized to reduce the computational burden. Finally, the validity of this model is verified on a system including thermal power units, wind power and battery energy storage system. The results indicate that the wind curtailment problem can be alleviated by introducing risk loss cost and equipping with battery storage system.
