In order to effectively and directly quantify the degree of partial discharge fault with signal amplitude and determine the corresponding relationship between the detected signal amplitude and the actual discharge and the severity of equipment status, the research work of partial discharge detection platform for high voltage cable is carried out. Three defect models are designed to simulate the discharge defects of high voltage cable. Through the field test, the rationality of defect design is verified, which has certain theoretical guidance and engineering significance.
