UHV transmission network has the characteristics of large scale, complex structure, and heavy investment, which can brought vast social economic benefits by optimizing power energy distribution. This research article proposes a scientific method used to comprehensively analyze huge costs and comprehensive economic benefits caused by UHV network. Life Cycle Cost (LCC) based on the three-dimensional decomposition theory is introduced to recognize device level cost, system level cost and carbon emission environmental cost of UHV network. Shadow price models are used to evaluate huge potential benefits brought by UHV network. Some evaluation indexes based on VIKOR theory improved by Vague Set are calculated to analyze the huge comprehensive economic benefits of UHV network. As such, different UHV network planning candidate schemes are made a comparative comprehensive economic analysis to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method. This study makes an indicative contribution to the debate about the compromise relationship between LCC and comprehensive economic benefits of UHV network.
