Aluminum-coated magnesium composite plates were fabricated by clad-rolling, then diffusion annealing treated at 200°C, 250°C, 300°C, 350°C for 1h. The mechanical performance of aluminum-coated magnesium composite plates was investigated by the test of tensile behavior. The best tensile strength and elongation was found at 250°C, 148.3Mpa and 6.48%. The changes of microstructure were investigated by metallographic microscope and scanning electronic microscope. It was found that the interface intermetallic compounds generated great influence to the interface bonding performance because of its brittleness and thickness.
