摘要

The proposed article introduces a design of low-cost and low-energy wireless sensor network comprising of one central node and multiple peripheral sensor nodes. As a wireless technology, the nRF24L01+ transceivers modules operating in unlicensed 2.4 GHz band are used. The main effort is focused on the optimal selection of wireless communication parameter to ensure reliability and data transmission range between central and sensor node. Furthermore, a design and implementation of wireless sensor node to detect windows state is discussed. A conducted series of experiments to evaluate the power efficiency and communication reliability have revealed that the proposed wireless sensor network is suitable for Smart Home application where these parameters are crucial. The transmission power of developed sensor node is approx. 1 mW, thus operating in standby mode up to 232 days while driven by a single coin battery.
