Travelling-wave-based transmission line protection and fault location techniques, are presented as fastest and most accurate, respectively, nowadays. This paper proposes a software for study of electromagnetic transients in transmission lines, whose graphical interface contains important elements for development of such techniques. They are: lattice diagram, which shows wave propagation, from the point of failure, and its successive reflections and refractions at line discontinuity points; plots of current signals at line terminals, and their respective wavelet coefficients, obtained from single-phase-to-ground faults computational simulation, also performed by this software.
