In this paper, we present a novel, large area (70cm X 70cm) LED based light soaking system that was completely designed and built in-house. The system consists of 64 different high power LEDs and an optimal optic setup in the light engine to achieve a uniform Class B spectrum. The light intensity ranges from 0.1SUN to 6 SUN and does not use any concentrator optics. Due to the modular nature of the LEDs, the spectrum can be changed by replacing with a different type of LED. The light intensity can be varied using the RJ45 connected programmable LED power supplies. The light soaking system also comprises of a hot plate (70cm X 70cm) which can be heated to 300 °C. The samples to be light soaked are placed on the hot plate and the temperature is maintained at the desired value using a digital thermostat.
