The proposed paper deals with the design and analysis of EMI and RFI suppressor for high frequency Induction Heating equipment (IHE) using Vienna Rectifier (VR). The simulations have been performed in PSIM software. The induction heating technology uses high frequency switching devices that are responsible for the generation of high frequency harmonics. The latter has an innate tendency to flow back towards the supply side which leads to the deterioration of the power quality. In this present work, an Induction Heating Equipment comprising of Vienna Rectifier has been proposed that a has much better harmonic attenuation ability than the existing ones using active and passive filters. The THD of the input current of an IHE with and without the application of VR has been compared to show the necessity and importance of the latter in the former. Moreover, attention has been paid off to the design of a controller for VR based on hysteresis comparators for its application in IHE.
