Advanced crowd management using ICT for just in time monitoring and real time alerts

摘要

Every year massive number of people gathers at different pilgrim places such as Uttrakhand for the Char Dham Yatra, Jammu and Kashmir for Amarnath Yatra and many such places for performing pilgrimage ritual. With increasing number of pilgrims every year, the increasing number of difficulties for pilgrimage authority is also on rise. The major issue for the authority is to manage the crowd and prevent accidents. Natural disaster and accidents causes' death of large number of people making it difficult for the authority to identify the individual who is lost or seeking for help. In this paper, we are proposing a system for the identification of pilgrim and crowd management using a card based on RFID technology.
