Advancements in the applications of Wireless Sensor Networks such as tracking, surveillance, localizing, and so on, synchronization of sensor nodes clock time is very important. Therefore, in recent decades to synchronize the network lot of time synchronization protocols are available. These protocols give good precision in various ways. This paper discusses a sender-receiver protocol for which a proposed procedure for selecting the most probable clock offset is applied. The proposed procedure is based on the statistical tool of maximum probability theory.
