the paper considers of the tasks of improving of the quality connection of fibers new type - the photonic-crystal fibers. Measurement of the field distribution intensity of photonic crystal fibers under transverse illumination is carried out using the profile alignment system. Subsequent processing of the resulting image by the method of autoconvolution makes it possible to determine with greater accuracy the symmetry center of the photonic-crystal fiber. This improves of the positioning accuracy of the fibers when they are connected.
