SiO2-cellulose acetate nanofiber has been synthesized by electrospinning process in high humidity environment. SiO2-cellulose acetate nanofiber with average diameter 598 nm has smooth morphology after confirming by SEM. Structure of nanofiber was analyzed by ATR-FTIR. Vibration band peak at around 1020 cm~(-1) and 1747 cm~(-1) showed G-O and C=O group of cellulose acetate, respectively. Peak at 3448 cm~(-1) related to OH group of cellulose acetate. Peak at 460 cm~(-1) for Si-O-Si bending and at 808 cm"1 for stretching of the Si-O-Si. SiO2 in nanofiber influenced of wetting property of nanofiber. Spreading time of water droplet on cellulose acetate nanofiber was 37 second. Water droplet on SiO2-cellulose acetate nanofiber was stable for several minutes. SiO2-cellulose acetate nanofiber has potential application for lithium ion battery separator.
