Using chemical coprecipitation, cold isostatic pressing, vacuum sintering and hot isostatic pressing technology integration, the Ag-SnO_2 and Ag-CuO-La_2O_3 electrical contact materials were fabricated, and the microstructures and properties were investigated. The results show that the oxides are evenly distributed in the contact materials, and the density, resistivity and micro-hardness of Ag-CuO-La_2O_3 materials are 9.77 g·cm~(-3), 2.36 μΩ·cm and HV113 respectively. Compared with convenient Ag-SnO_2 electrical contact materials prepared by the same process, the Ag-CuO-La_2O_3 material has superior room temperature processing performance, better ability of anti-arc erosion and longer service life. The Ag-CuO-La_2O_3 material may be substitute Ag-SnO_2 as a new electrical contact material.
