摘要

Ozonation is considered as a treatment process of choice for the disinfection and oxidation of micropollutants and organic matter. However, the selection of appropriate ozonation conditions is critical to ensure its effective application. For example, working at conditions with high ozone CT may improve disinfection, but it can also increase the formation of disinfection byproducts (DBP) such as bromate. It is therefore important for water utilities to characterise the ozonation process to ensure proper disinfection, while avoiding DBP formation.
