Usually, conventional machine tools have been used with machining fluid (lubricant,coolant, metal working fluid) such as cutting oil, grinding fluid in factory.However, machining fluid contains several chemicals such as oil, surface active agent, extreme pressure agent, anti-rust agent,biocide and so on, therefore, it brings smell, stain, and worker's health hazard problem in manufacturing.Moreover, disposal of machining fluid may cause high cost and environmental load.So, in order to solve those problems, the Water Machining System (the Electric Rust Preventive Machining Method System) that uses harmless water (tap water, etc.) as machining fluid has been proposed and realized for sustainable development.Furthermore, it enables the clean ultra-precision machining performance only with water.The electric rust preventive machining method system is applied to several machining processes such as cutting, grinding, etc., then, it is expected to be applied more widely in production field.And, a practical water machining system has been developed for production through industry-cooperative investigation.The extension of the water machining system has been estimated.
