摘要

In present paper, the main components and characteristics of the electric power system in Nepal are introduced. The loss of the service function and the damage of equipments are investigated in the two counties under the Nepal Ms 8.1 earthquake. The typical damage mode of each research object in electric power system is derived based on the investigation data, and the main factors are discussed to find out the dominant reason which leaded to the damage. At last, a state comment on the seismic damage of electric power system under Nepal Ms 8.1 earthquake is present based on the investigation data. The conclusion can be used to deeply understand the damage mechanism and help to develop the rehabilitation and reconstruction project of electric power system for Nepal.
