摘要

Sloshing phenomena cause many engineering issues.To analyze the sloshing impact problems in a prismatic tank under forced horizontal motion, CFD simulation with a VOF method has been adopted.The effects of natural frequencies of simple rectangular and prismatic tanks were compared with impact pressure on the prismatic tank wall.This study also discusses the variable pressure loads and sloshing phenomena in prismatic tanks when the frequencies are changed.The numerical simulation shows good agreements with analytical solution.
