SPLENIC HEMANGIOSARCOMA IN DOGS: WHERE WE ARE NOW AND WHEREWE NEED TO GO

This presentation will summarize selected findings from two recent large retrospective studies concerning dogs with splenic mass lesions treated at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. The first study concerned perioperative mortality in dogs undergoing splenectomy, and the second concerned long term outcome for dogs with splenic hemangiosarcoma treated by splenectomy with and without adjuvant chemotherapy. Abstracts from the two studies are provided below.
