Evaluation of a PED vaccine on piglet mortality and sow immunity

Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) is an enteric virus that causes high piglet mortality. To date, there is no vaccine commercially available that can prevent the disease. However, recent vaccines have become available that show potential in reducing the severity of the disease. This study was designed to evaluate one vaccine on pre-wean mortality and to evaluate the immune response of the sow upon administration of the vaccine.
