A fragile video watermarking algorithm for content authentication

In this paper, we propose a watermarking scheme for video authentication in H.264/AVC. Texture masks were used to estimate the residual block texture in order to embed the watermark by modulating DCT domain coefficients in the appropriate position in an I frame and the eligible motion vector in a P frame. This guarantees that the watermark is content-based and can test the integrity for all of the frames. Experimental results show that the algorithm is of low complexity and has little effect on the visual quality of video. Besides, the tampered area can also be located.
