High Frequency RCS Representation of Trihedral Corner Reflectors with Scalene Triangle Aperture

Resulting from the demands of radar target signatures reconstruction, we investigate the backscattering properties of trihedral corner reflectors with scalene triangle aperture. Using the geometrical optics (GO) and physical optics (PO) approximations, the complete and ready-to-use analytical formulas are derived for the monostatic radar cross section (RCS) of two trihedral corner reflectors with scalene triangle aperture in co-polarization. The results of this paper are then compared with ones of the method of moments (MoM) which are found to be in very good agreement.
