Individual Analysis of Aerosols in Fukushima Areas

The accident of the Fukushima daiichi nuclear power plant occurred by East Japan great earthquake disaster on March 11, 2011. By this accident, a lar ge amount of radioactive species was released in the atmosphere and especially, Fukushima daiichi nuclea r power plant outskirts area, the radioactive contami nation was spread as far as wide now. In recent reports, after decontamination, the radi ation dose falls to some extent, but the situation tha t a radiation dose becomes high as time passes is re ported. In addition, there is a report that a radiation dose extremely falls by removing plant opals (hydr ous silica) included in the radioactive contamination soil. It is presupposed that aerosols which a cause c iting a radiation dose as from these reported case ag ain scatters natural environments, and circulates exist s. A possibility that radioactive particles of micron s ize released from adhesion, a radiological case and nuclear power plant taken over by a plant opal crus hed to several microns size. A particle derived from radioactive material and nuclear power generation was included in an aerosol particle using a scanning electron microscope and the second time-of-flight io n mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS), or, in this study, observation analyzed it.
