Cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) is essential to study the interaction of atmospheric particles and cloud formation, which causes the largest uncertainties in climate model. The concentration and activation rate of CCN have been studied in many regional sites all over the world, but the studies in Megacities to elucidate the CCN activity and the influencing factors in polluted areas are limited. Beijing is one of the major megacities in China with a population of 21.2 million and 5.4 million vehicles, which has enormous primary particle and gaseous pollutant emissions and large secondary formation potential. Investigating the CCN activity under complex air pollution in Beijing can better improve the current regional and global climate modeling.
