The traditional methods of blind equalization for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) have the problems of poor performance with slow convergence rate and steady-state error in Non-cooperative communication system. A novel OFDM blind equalization based on multi-mode hybrid algorithm is proposed to solve this problem. The modified multi-mode algorithm (MMMA) and decision directed (DD) algorithm is used to be a hybrid algorithm first, and then the decision feedback equalizer (DFE) with feedback structure is adopted to be the equalizer. The simulation results show that this method could improve the performance and the steady-state error with low signal to noise ratio (SNR).
