Overview of digital watermarking

摘要

Digital watermarking has recently gained increasing attention all over the world. It is an important means to protect digital medial copyright by embedding special information into multimedia data. The watermark of digital images, audios, videos, and other media products in general has been used to resolve copyright ownership and verify the integrity of digital content. This paper first introduces the characteristics and applications of watermark technique, and summarizes the basic concepts and evaluation criteria of digital watermark. Then, the various watermark techniques are classified for further introduction. Finally, this paper sums up the potential research direction of digital watermark technology.
