The features, CFD study, commercialization of MIP technology were introduced as well as its new advancement named MIP-DCR.The novel idea of MIP technology is its unique "two reaction zones".The primary zone is mainly for cracking reactions and the secondary zone is mainly for transforming reactions.Typical examples of industrial application for 3 MIP operation modes were given as a flexibility considered by refineries.Due to its enhanced products' distribution and improved gasoline qualities, MIP technology is used widely in refining industries in China.A new advancement for decreasing yields of dry gas and coke named MIP-DCR was presented.MIP-DCR makes the ratio of catalysts to oil become an independent variable.It can be concluded that MIP has always become a new industrial platform of catalytic cracking process.
