Research Practice on the Reformation of Urban Shantytowns Under the Background of New Urbanization-Case Study on Planning and Architectural Design of Xijiazhou Town in Chuanshan District, Suining City

摘要

Under the influence of China's development strategy for new urbanization, modern towns face "3 x 100 million people" issues,as they relate to the "Villages" and "shantytown" reformation, which should include comprehensive consideration for livelihood sentiments, effective and rational land use, and ecological security;while creating spaces which focuses on environmental priorities,context heritage, landscape features, livable industry production and city (town) integration.The planning and architectural design of Xijiazhou Town, Chuanshan District in Suining city, Sichuan province, has been carried out with focus on the issues of geographical and cultural inheritance, adaption to the modem times, and also has taken the demands of multi-dimensional expressions of scientific development into account.Thus becoming a positive case example for a sustainable living environment development.
