It usually happens that we pay much attention to the surface while seldom keep our eyes open on the inner parts when protecting modern architectural heritages.Wall mildew is one of them for example.While the wall mildew problem in the historical architectures is quite different than that in the recent-built ones.The paper introduces inducing factors and measures about preventing and controlling wall mildew, taking protecting cases of Qingdao, Beijing and Mount Lu for examples.The growth characteristics of mold and the perspective of protecting architectural heritages are the key clues of the paper.
