An Overview of North American Intermediate-Energy Facilities and Isotope Production Capabilities

For this overview, intermediate-energy accelerator facilities are loosely defined as those facilities capable of delivering high-current H~+ and/or H~- beams for the bulk production of isotopes at beam energies above 50 MeV. Such facilities are limited to less than 10 sites worldwide and therefore represent a unique resource for the broad isotope user base. Facilities meeting the aforementioned criteria in North America are distinctive in the international context due to their beam intensities.
