To ensure the stability of supports of steeply inclined working face has been one of the safety problems.Based on related knowledge of theory of inclined masonry structure and theoretical mechanics and taken a steep face of a mine for basic research, the roof of tilt masonry structure in the tendency of support stability under the action of (decline and dumping) is analyzed.The results showed that the working resistance of working face support can remain stable if not less than 3283 kN, the choice of 4200 kN support resistance is reasonable.Finally, by analyzing the support mechanical model, raised that in the process of working face advancing, support base mounting base pairs of jack, top beam pairs of jack and technical measures such as changing the moving support method can effectively adjust and prevent support dumping and decline phenomenon, greatly improve the support stability, guarantee the production of fully mechanized working face safely and efficiently.
