The Binder Jet 3D Printing (BJ3DP) process has shown potential as a manufacturing process for WC-Co parts of complex geometry. The BJ3DP technology utilizes binder droplets to selectively bond the powder particles to produce a green part. The green part is further cured, to improve its strength, and finally it undergoes de-binding and sintering. Understanding the dimensional and surface finish capability during printing and sintering is critical in identifying the parts suitable for manufacturing via BJ3DP. This paper discusses the results from a study carried out to understand the dimensional capability of the BJ3DP process. The printed dimensions of three different geometries were analyzed in the study. Statistical analysis using the MINITAB software was carried out to quantify the repeatability, reproducibility and anisotropy of BJ3DP process.
