We investigate the self-similar mode of laser pulse propagation in the medium with both nonlinear absorption (two-photon or multi-photon) and cubic nonlinear response (both self-focusing and de-focusing). This mode of laser pulse propagation takes place along certain distance. We showed that the self-similar shape of pulse is like optical soliton, propagating in a medium with cubic nonlinearity. However, the duration of this pulse is less in comparison with the soliton duration for Kerr medium under the corresponding conditions. We used as analytical approach for considered problem as well as computer simulation.
