摘要

Discomfort glare in lighting of indoor work place is predicted with the UGR method. However, it is not obvious whether the UGR method is applicable to the prediction in LED lighting. In our previous studies, they were shown that it was difficult to predict it using the UGR method in LED lighting compared to FL lighting and the result was caused by luminance distributions of luminous parts. However, it was insufficient to conclude that the cause of the result was the luminance distributions, because the luminaires which were used in the experiment differed in the distribution curve of luminous intensity and the flux. To clear the applicability of the UGR method in LED lighting, we have examined the subjective glare ratings using many kinds of LED luminaires. It was shown that the UGR method might not be able to apply the prediction of discomfort glare in LED lighting.
