HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL STRUCTURE of precipitation SYSTEM

摘要

Precipitation is highly variable in space and time.The variation of vertical structure of precipitation is linked with dynamical forcing and microphysical interaction.Thus,its measurement and understanding require relevent samplings to resolve these characteristics.Traditional measurements are quite limited in its measuring scale.Development of remote sensing technology opens a new era to improve the spatial and temporal smapling and thus understand the nature of precipitation.
