Theoretical analysis of the human trafficking crime

Human trafficking represents a form of slavery, closely linked to other segments of organized crime, which reached alarming levels worldwide. Representing a complex social problem, whose manifestations and solutions are important both for the surveillance authorities and the public opinion, organized crime tends to become nowadays a very serious and dangerous phenomenon, with destructive consequences on the structure and stability of the organisations and institutions in a democratic state, and with a devastating impact, which questions not only the social-economic stability of any community, but also the security and the peace of nations. A way of controlling this phenomenon is represented by the incrimination of human exploitation, the present paper aiming precisely at studying the way in which the Romanian lawmaker took into consideration preventing and combating the crime, therefore a theoretical analysis of the human trafficking crime.
