Trafficking in human beings and the related crimes, in the contexct of cross - border organized crime, are being an omnipresent phenomenon, both in the developed countries, permeating the economic and educational layers, and in less developed countries. Its consequences affect not only individuals taken ut singuli but a multitude of areas within the geo - political space of the source and destination countries, causing deep destabilizations in the fields of social life, economy, demography, migration of the labour market, health, education and public security. Persons belonging to several vulnerable groups (ex. Institutionalized children, unemployed persons, women, edlerly, etc.) are at high risk of becoming victims of this crime. Given the fact that the mobility and flexibility of the organized crime groups, in this field, is directly proportional to the demads and offers of the market, the number of the vulnerable people falling in this trap is in continuous growth; terefor, a replica on an international level, based on collaboration and cooperation is an imperative.
