Biomass material is one of the most abundant resources in nature. In recent years, biomass material has attracted extensive attention due to its green, environmental and renewable characteristics, and is considered as an ideal substitute for petroleum-based materials. Fused deposition molding (FDM) is one of the 3D printing technologies, which has a broad application prospect in the market due to its low equipment cost, fast printing speed and the ability to shape complex components. The combination of biomass materials and FDM is a trend in the development of biomass materials in recent years. In this paper, the application of biomass materials such as cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin in FDM is reviewed, and the development prospect of FDM biomass materials is prospected.
