Re-injection eliminates the need for transporting produced water over long subsea tieback distances which can reduce: flowline infrastructure and topside processing facilities. flow assurance issues. boosting requirements. Produced water treating is needed to meet re-injection water quality which allows to maintain long-term well injectivity and prevent injection well fouling and plugging of formation. Produced water quality monitoring technologies can: Provide early indication of injection well plugging. Enable performance monitoring of subsea separation systems and can identify upset flow conditions.
