Measurements of lighting devices parameters, from the view point of blue light hazard (BLH), become more demanded in the conditions of the accruing volume of application of light emitting diode (LED) illumination systems. Paper describes the approach of physiological effective BLH radiance evaluation for luminaires and at first turn for LED based illumination devices. The approach is based on combination of luminaire luminous body radiant relative spectral distribution measurements and irradiance integral measurements by selective photoelectric detector with well known spectral sensitivity in mode of irradiance. The main task solved thus is a realization of an "alternative" method of measurement of BLH radiance according to standard CIE S 009/IEC 62471 (CIE: 2002, IEC:2008) and with taking into account physiological aspects of visual perception.
