NMIJ and NICHIA Corporation developed new transfer standard for luminous flux measurement of high-power LEDs (the standard LED for HP-LEDs). The HP-LED of a surface mount device type, which NICHIA Corporation specially designed, is mounted in the tube socket to achieve high installation reproducibility. The luminous flux of the standard LED for HP-LEDs stabilizes immediately after lighting by a thermo-module. The luminous flux of the standard LED for HP-LEDs changed below 0,1 % against temperature change of (23 ± 5) °C. Those results indicated that our standard LED for HP-LEDs achieved high reproducibility and stability at any temperature condition.
