The family of functional silanes is a versatile group of products widely used as adhesion promoters, water scavengers, crosslinkers, and primers etc. in the adhesives and sealants industry as well as others such as composites and coatings. The reactivity to the substrate, the stability in a compound and the compatibility to the resin system can be fine-tuned by choosing out of a variety of different organo-functional and silicon-functional groups.
