After the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake at March 11, 2011, IAE started analysis of accident progression of Fukushima Dai-ichi with SAMPSON Code which was designed as a large scale simulation system. SAMPSON predicted the damage of the upper part of the fuel assemblies near the core center and RPV failure due to the creep for Unit 2. Since uncertainty exists in RPV failure mechanism, et al., correction of models is in progress to realize higher precision.
