A high-performance dual-polarized aperture-coupled hybrid-fed microstrip patch antenna for multifunction application is designed. Input isolation better than 52 dB and cross-polarization level lower than -31 dB are achieved, and simulation results are presented. The embedded element pattern of the designed element is simulated and used for calculating the MPAR-sized cylindrical array antenna radiation pattern, and the results for both co- and cross-polarizations are presented.
